We had one last hurrah up at the lake before our summer was officially over and school starts.
We went up to Grammy and Pappa's cabin for a whole week and had so much fun. Minus being ready to sleep in our own beds, none of us were ready to come home yet!
The first day the kids begged and begged so we took them on a 4-wheeler ride.

Waiting for us to take them for their ride!

we stopped for some quick photos of us on the ATV's

Lyss waiting for daddy to come back to the ATV!
After our ride we played outside on the swing set...

Well the kids did, we watched them...

Kayla took this picture for us! The happy couple, so much in love!

More swing set playing

Kayla burned her leg on the exhaust of the ATV so we tied an ice pack around her leg. She didn't sit still too long, so I guess it wasn't that bad of a burn.
I told them to try kisses instead of attacking him, and what do you know...it worked!!!

This is Abby wishing she was being played with instead of Daddy
This one is for Grammy...The girls had to make holly hock dolls!

They also enjoyed looking at the stars, and finding the constellations in my star book

The next day we hit the lake!!!

Scott brought up his remote control boat and the kids thought that was great.

Alyssa chased it around in the water. She made for great entertainment!

Matt played in the mud and water, he is all boy!

These are scott looking for a toy that Matt had been given by some friends of ours. it sinks and the water would get murky when the sand got kicked up. so Scott stood out there waiting for the water to clear so he could find the toy.

After the lake we came home and made dinner, the girls helped by each peeling a potato!
The next day we went to a little camping spot. It was in a grove of trees, with a little stream running next to it. Grammy and Pappa showed us where it was last time we went up with them.

The water was very, very cold!!!!!

Then we ate lunch and played

mom and dad chillin' together

the kids being silly...some more

After our picnic we headed up to the Minnetonka cave

They call this the 3 sisters

they have the 7 dwarves in this group!
they call this popcorn

and this is cave ribbon

this one was kermit the frog's castle. who knew he had a castle!

I don't think this had a name I just thought it looked cool

These had a few names, but the one I remember was straws. they were really cool looking hanging off the ceiling.

Just another, fun shot inside the cave.

The cave has over 7oo steps in it. These ones are outside the cave, but still it was more steps we had to climb to see the cave, ugh.
My Boys!

My girls

They tried to burry Abby with sea shells!

Honestly I don't know how he sat there, they hurt to step on. I can't imagine sitting in them was much more pleasant!

Lyss and Abby in the water.

We drove one of the ATV's out to the beach from Scott's grandparents property. How cute is this shot of my boys on the toys???
That night we had a wii tournament. Even Matthew got to play, well he thought he was at least! He had a numb-chuck in his hand (it hooks onto the controllers for certain games) and to him it was as good as a real controller!
We had a lot of fun playing wii together!
The next morning the girls were playing in my make up and because Matt can't wear makeup Scott decided to do a "boy thing" with him. He shaved his face, Matt got a kick out of it...well we all did!

putting on the shaving cream

look at that face!

Smooth as a baby's bottom!!!

Makayla putting mommy's lipstick on Alyssa. They loved that I was letting them use my real makeup.
After all the excitement of getting ready, we headed out to Idaho. We ran to Montpelier for gas and some items from the grocery store. They had these bears on the streets of their town, and I couldn't get over them. For those that know me, I LOVE BEARS, so of course I had to have photos of them!
This one was right outside a Dr.'s office

These benches were all over!

This was in the middle of the main road.

We got ice cream bars at the grocery store. It was a fun treat for the kids.
After the run into ID, well technically we were still in ID, we went to the Bear Lake hot springs
Scott had been there before as a kid, but it's all changed and under remodeling so it was even a new experience for him!
The next day was sunday, so we hung out in the cabin doing fun stuff.
we played games (I won at monopoly-that's a first for me) and the kids did some crafts.
Me and Matt making a picture frame

The girls making sun catchers

I let Matt choose where the decorations went and let him push them down (or hit them) after I had added glue.

The girls had so much fun...

So did Matt, he was so proud of himself!

Being silly at the cabin. Kayla put a slinkie around Matt's neck

Matt played with this car rug the whole week. (we have to get him one for Christmas) This is the only day his sisters really played on it with him.

On Monday we headed out. So after cleaning up we took a cute family photo out side before we left. It was such a great vacation, we didn't want to leave.

It was a quiet ride home...ahhh so nice!

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!
