1st lost tooth

Alyssa lost her first tooth on the 7th of Feb and she was so excited that the tooth finally came out! it had been wiggly for quite a while. Dad, at mom's request, yanked it out for her. The tooth fairy came that night and gave her the anticipated 50 cent piece.(typical for our house) she was so excited to show her kindergarten teacher and get a sticker on her tooth chart at school! I think she was a little more excited about that than than she was to have the tooth fairy come... so messed up!

Potty Training

Matthew decided it was time to start potty training. On the 24th we started. With lots of laundry we still felt we were off to a great start, he picked it right up. I took him to the store and let him choose his own treats, so each time he went potty he got a treat ( he chose Sponge Bob fruit snacks) and a juice box! he thought that was pretty cool! Taking it one day at a time and really only having to clean up the floor twice and so far 1 toilet flood. he's doing great and staying dry most the time :) He goes on his own at home and wears big boy underpants most places anymore! He still has a few accidents, but I dare say we're almost over this hurdle and ready to move on_ and all before his 4th birthday! Yay for Matthew :D

the boys-"fixers"

Matthew's new thing is from Bob the builder "can we fix it, yes we can" So when dad was fixing the car-nothing real big or important- he wanted to help. He called them "fixers"

Makayla's 4th grade ski trip

Makayla went on her class field trip/ski trip on the 4th of January. She was so nervous, and REALLY didn't like it at first. Dad wouldn't let her give up, and once she found her friends to go down the slopes with she soon found herself loving it!

Happy New Year!

WELCOME 2011!!!!

We rang in the new year with Scott's family. We went to his parent's house and played games and ate all night!!! A great way to ring in the new year :)

While we played games the kids decorated a ginger bread house with aunt Emmie. It turned out very cute...
