Christmas Morning movies

Here is some video of "our Christmas"
Scott likes to put the kids in front of gifts that are not theirs, just to disappoint them! lol Makayla has figured it out, but let's dad have his fun anyway!
Enjoy a peek of what our Christmas morning was like!

This is Matthew playing with his new dump
truck & firefighters. His firefighters are like
the old 'soldiers in a bucket', just plastic men.
But they are red firefighters instead of little green soldiers

Christmas Morning

Our much anticipated Christmas morning came and went and as far as I could tell was a great one for the kids. Scott and I agreed that it was the best Christmas ever for us, because we are so happy now-just being together for Christmas made it perfect. As for the kids, they each got what they asked for from Santa and had a great time playing with it all. After they had ripped through all the presents Scott and I went to take a nap while the kids played. IT WAS GREAT!
Matthew got a big dump truck, a big airplane,
and a rug with roads to play with his cars.
Makayla got a barbie dog in her stocking! (it
has a crown on it's head, and it's sparkly-what
more could she want in a barbie dog?)
Matthew found a Mickey in his stocking!!!!
Alyssa found scented lotion in hers!
"what else is in here..."
Makayla showing off her webkins!
The girls playing with their horses that Santa
gave them, they told me that these ones are
better than the American girl ones!!!!
Matthew playing with his felt cars book we got
him (a nice quiet toy for church)

Then we headed to Scott's parents house to open
more gifts and visit with family!
Alyssa and Annika playing Barbies, the princesses
are dancing with their princes.
Scott showing off his 'T-shirt quilt'
I made him for Christmas-his favorite gift

Alyssa being crazy, putting hair pins on her nose!!!!

Lights in the park

One of our favorite Christmas traditions is going to see the lights at Layton City Park on Christmas Eve. We each get our own mug of hot chocolate to keep us warm, we all get bundled up and walk through the park looking at the lights. COLD, but SO worth it!
Makayla and the peacock
Alyssa and the kangaroo
Matthew & Abby
Makayla and the pelican
Matt watching the froggies hop
Makayla with the dolphin
Alyssa and Ariel

Matt and Santa in the helicopter!!!!

Christmas jammies!!!!

Every year we open one gift on Christmas Eve...a new pair of Jammies!
The kids had a warm bubble bath, then came down for their gifts.
The girls got matching Princess jammies and Matt got some Lightning McQueen jammies!!!

Caught red handed!!!!

I was doing Alyssa's hair...this is what Matt was doing!
Hot chocolate everywhere!!!!! I think I have a picture
of all 3 of my kids like this! so he's just following his sisters footsteps. lol

ALyssa's dance class-parent's day

I forgot about parents day at Alyssa's dance class until I was there and it was too late! So the pictures and video I have aren't the best because I had to use my cell phone to take them! And it happened the day after we bought a new video camera!!! go figure! Oh well, at least I have pictures and I won't forget the good cameras at her recital-I PROMISE!!!!!
They just went through a normal class and did a short christmas dance for us. It was way cute, and easy to see why Lyss loves dance so much!

This is the short Christmas Dance they performed.
(again sorry for the poor quality)

This one is longer, it's the class learning tap!
still cute though.

Christmas tradition with Chelse

Every year we make a ginger bread house with Chelse. My girls love this tradition.
This year I made the ginger bread and icing instead of buying it in a kit. definitely cheaper, but not so sure it was better. But it was still really fun!
Matthew was tired and not to into the whole thing.
he ended up falling asleep on the couch while the girls decorated.

Beginning the decorations...

Ta-dah...Finished house!
We did ginger trees too. but they weren't very yummy
Mac liked the frosting and candy though.

We did our gift exchange with them also.
So much fun to have at Christmas time! :)
