Easter Sunday

We had a lot of fun on Easter.  It was such a nice day so we went outside and played with the new sidewalk chalk and bubbles the kids got in their baskets.  We also had our own little egg hunt.  The kids thought that was great, then they sat and ate candy like crazy.  It was a fun Easter.

Dying the eggs

Our kids had fun dying eggs.  They each had 4 eggs they could dye.  Then they painted them.  The girls showed lots of creativity,  Matthew enjoyed making a huge mess!   This was his first time dying eggs, he definitely  likes this tradition!!! :)

Matt's growing vocabulary

Matt shared a few of his favorite words with us while we were dying eggs.  His favorite movie is cars.  He likes to quote the movie, he has his favorite lines and words.   Watch the movie to find out what a few of them are!
SO CUTE!

can't keep a good boy down

I just wanted to show everyone how well Matt is doing.  He is two weeks away from getting his cast off.  (and turning 2)  He is walking, going up and down stairs, climbing on stuff and trying to jump around with his cast.  It isn't slowing him down at all!

Happy Birthday Grammy...

This is my kids sending a Happy Birthday message to Grammy (My Mom).  I figure this is the easiest way for them to view it.  Enjoy Mom, hope you had a Happy Birthday!

We love and miss you.

Hard Cast

Here is some photos of Matt in his new blue cast.   He is doing well with it.  He has learned to scoot and crawl, go up and down stairs and more with his cast on.  So minus the normal things he can't do with a cast on, like bathe and play outside, he is doing well.  The pain has dwindled and were doing much better.  He will be getting his cast off on April 22, his 2nd birthday.  We figured that would be a fun B-day present for him!

Broken Leg

Matthew was on the trampoline with big sis Makayla after dinner on Thurs. night. (Mar 19th) We are guessing he got a bigger bounce than he could handle and came down wrong on his leg. We knew something was wrong  he cried for at least a half hour straight.
We spent forever in the kids care; he was in so much pain and his cry was just breaking my heart.
We finally got some drugs for him and the x-rays done.  We had to wait for the radiologist to be called in so he could read the x ray.  He ended up with a buckle fracture in his right knee, we got home at 10:30 Thurs. night & I took a few pics to show his splint cast.
We go back in Mon. the 23rd to decided if he needs a real, hard, cast.  We'll keep you up to date on how he is healing.
He looks happy cuz he's on drugs.

Trust me he was in a ton of pain. And too tired to care about the cast.  Now he hates it and wants it off.
Trying to sleep with a broken leg.  It was a very long night.

Goodbye Grammy & Papa

Buh bye Papa...I will miss you Buddy!

Saying goodbye to Grammy & Papa the night before they left for the MTC.  Then they're off to Nauvoo Illinois for a year.  We know they'll make awesome missionaries!
