Matthew turns 3!!!!!

On April 22nd Matthew had his 3rd birthday! Neither Scott nor I can believe our baby is 3, it seems so crazy to us :)

It was a busy day, but packed with fun...

He was told when he woke up that it was his birthday, he jumped right out of bed and the excitement didn't wear off until late that night.

He got a phone call from Mickey Mouse that morning, dad made his favorite breakfast and he got to open 1 present-a lego set and he got his "new" cars booster-seat. It wasn't so much new as it was new to him. I took Makayla's old princess car seat and recovered it with Cars material so he could have a boy booster! He loves it

All day he was telling every one that it was his birthday. He was so excited that his birthday had finally come;we had been telling him "for your birthday" for so long I think he thought it was NEVER going to come.

He chose Chuck E Cheese for dinner; this was one of the many things he had heard "for your birthday" on over and over so when he FINALLY got there he was crawling out of his skin with excitement. He didn't know what to do first and certainly couldn't be doing just one thing for very long. LOL He got to meet the real Chuck E., played all the games, rode about every ride at least once and played in the play land!

After we got home we ate cupcakes, I was putting the candles in his and without thinking gave him 2. Luckily, Makayla caught it and told me he needed 3 candles! So, thanks to his big sister, he got to blow out 3 candles in his cupcake. And of course, we sang to him and he opened his gifts.

He was so excited about everything that when he opened one of the gifts and all he saw was a box he simply said (with pure delight) "A BOX!!!!" He didn't care what he was getting, he just loved that this day and everything about it revolved around him :)

The next day he asked if it was his birthday again, when he was told no he cried and said "I want my birthday back" That's how you know your little man truly enjoyed his birthday :D
